Notice of the third Meeting – to finalise details and launch

When: Tuesday 21 February 2012 - 10 am

Where: Cafe Ruba

What: The accord document has been drafted and circulated to all those that attended the last meeting. This document will form the basis of an ongoing relationship between the authorities and the licensed trade in Gisborne.

Why: Strong relationships between the authorities and the licensed trade can actively reduce the perceived harm associated with on-license alcohol. Additionally these relationships help identify and resolve communication problems that exist.

It is widely accepted that the On-licensed industry and the authorities both benefit from such forums and that the added trust and respect can help resolve issues locally without recourse to the court system.
