The public holidays over Easter this year fall on Good Friday 22 April, Easter Monday 25 April. Easter Sunday is not a public holiday for the purposes of the Holidays Act. Easter Monday is a public holiday as is also ANZAC Day that falls on the same day as Easter Monday however, both public holidays are observed on the same day as one public holiday.

Planning for Profit
All the indications are that 2006 will at best be a soft trading year for hospitality. With a tightening economy we are already seeing a softening of the discretionary dollar. Tourism growth has slowed and there are some indications that for the first time in about a decade numbers could actually drop.
