A unique feature to our organisation, is that partners have access to our eight Regional Managers located across the country and invitations to various branch meetings or events as an opportunity to network and build stronger business relationships with members.


What can an affiliate membership offer hospitality suppliers?

Hospitality New Zealand represents over 2,400 members that covers the full range of hospitality businesses including, cafes, bars, restaurants, taverns, country hotels, caterers, bottle stores; and generally larger accommodation providers.

Hospitality New Zealand are committed to work hard and aim add value to our affiliate members businesses and believe that you will see the value of becoming an affiliate with the following good reasons:
  • Exclusive marketing opportunities - We support affiliate members by offering our membership communication services to deliver promotional activities to over 2,400 decision makers and hospitality operators that can be tailored to your marketing budget and requirements.

  • Member Purchasing Benefits - you can also make significant savings with our comprehensive range of member discounts which may be of direct benefit your business's bottom line. For example, Westpac credit card processing rates between 1.46% and 1.62% and EFTPOS solutions, Telecom business packages, along with unbeatable member discounts on all retail products at Noel Leeming and Bond & Bond stores, plus an excellence insurance offering through Marsh Insurance Ltd, plus many more...

  • Business Resources - Regardless if you are a small or large hospitality supplier, you can access to our employment and health and safety resources plus much more in the members login area of our website.

  • Kept abreast with industry issues and advocacy progress - affiliate members are also kept informed of any significant issue affecting our members and our industry via the monthly membership communications of our printed ServiceLine Newsletter and on alternative months our sector specific E-Line issues.

  • Networking - all affiliate members and partners are invited to our annual conference as an opportunity meet our members, hear from our key industry stakeholders and guest speakers, plus showcase your business at our Trade Expo to catch up with member customers, talk to new members and introduce any latest product or service provided by your business.
Please note:
  • Legal advice is not offered as part of an affiliate membership.
  • There is a network of 21 Hospitality Association Branches throughout New Zealand. Some Branches run seminars, sporting and social activities. Membership of Hospitality Association (nationally) is a pre-requisite to Branch membership, and some Branches have an additional subscription.
  • Acceptance of affiliate membership does not mean that Hospitality New Zealand is endorsing a particular affiliate member's goods or services.
The subscription rate for Affiliate membership is $710.70 (including GST) per annum, our financial year being 1 August to 31 July.

Can you meet the criteria for stepping up from Affiliate membership status to Hospitality New Zealand Partner status?


A Hospitality New Zealand Partner is a business which offers our members a discount or benefit which usually must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Holds financial Affiliate Member status.
  • Unique and/or exclusive.
  • Significant in the magnitude of benefit and/or attraction to Hospitality New Zealand members.
  • Nationally available.
  • Conveniently and consistently accessible to Hospitality New Zealand members.
  • Fits with the Hospitality New Zealand brand and objectives.
  • Is offered by a reputable and sound business.
  • Is not in conflict with any existing partnership arrangement.
The appeal for Partners to offer a discount usually includes:
  • The ability to directly, conveniently and effectively access their target market.
  • The positive aspect of being a business associated with an organisation that is a well respected industry leader with significant membership.
  • The promotion of their product or service by our Regional Managers when meeting with members.
  • Ongoing promotion of the Hospitality New Zealand web site, in new member packs, on updates to flyers members and so on.
