The Hospitality Showcase is our national conference which includes a vast range of business sessions, Annual General Meeting and the prestigious Awards for Excellence event that is highly regarded amongst our members and the hospitality industry. We have a range of conference sponsorship packages available for suppliers of any size. The value of these packages are significant to the actual cost. What can an affiliate membership offer hospitality suppliers?

Hospitality New Zealand represents over 3,000 members that covers the full range of hospitality businesses including, cafes, bars, restaurants, taverns, country hotels, caterers, entertainment venues, liquor retailers; and a range of commercial accommodation providers.

Hospitality New Zealand are committed to work hard and aim add value to our affiliate members businesses and believe that you will see the value of becoming an affiliate with the following good reasons:

  • Exclusive marketing opportunities - We support affiliate members by offering our membership communication services to deliver promotional activities to over 3,000 decision makers and hospitality operators that can be tailored to your marketing budget and requirements.

  • Business Resources - Regardless if you are a small or large hospitality supplier, you have access to our employment and health and safety resources plus much more in the members login area of our website.

  • Kept abreast with industry issues and advocacy progress - affiliate members are also kept informed of any significant issue affecting our members and our industry via the monthly membership communications of our printed ServiceLine Newsletter and on alternative months our e-newsletter called E-Line.

  • Networking - all affiliate members and partners are invited to our annual conference as an opportunity meet our members, hear from our key industry stakeholders and guest speakers, plus a great way to network and catch up with your customers away from their business, talk to new members and introduce any latest product or service provided by your business.

    1. Legal advice is not offered as part of an affiliate membership.
    2. There is a network of 20 Hospitality New Zealand Branches throughout New Zealand. Some Branches run seminars, sporting and social activities. Membership of Hospitality New Zealand (nationally) is a pre-requisite to Branch membership, and some Branches have an additional subscription.
    3. Acceptance of affiliate membership does not mean that Hospitality New Zealand is endorsing a particular affiliate member's goods or services.

Can you meet the criteria for stepping up from affiliate membership status to Hospitality New Zealand Partner status?


A Hospitality New Zealand Partner is a business which offers our members a discount or benefit which usually must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Holds financial Affiliate Member status.
  • Unique and/or exclusive.
  • Significant in the magnitude of benefit and/or attraction to Hospitality New Zealand members.
  • Nationally available.
  • Conveniently and consistently accessible to Hospitality New Zealand members.
  • Fits with the Hospitality New Zealand brand and objectives.
  • Is offered by a reputable and sound business.
  • Is not in conflict with any existing partnership arrangement.

The appeal for Partners to offer a discount usually includes:
  • The ability to directly, conveniently and effectively access their target market.
  • The positive aspect of being a business associated with an organisation that is a well respected industry leader with significant membership.
  • The promotion of their product or service by our Regional Managers (as appropriate) when meeting with members.
  • Ongoing promotion opportunities on the Hospitality New Zealand website, in new member packs, EDMs sent to members and so on.
